Boxing on TV tonight: Live streams, UK start times and fight cards | Boxing | Sport

Oleksandr Usyk will yet again be desperate to show why he’s the best heavyweight of this generation when he faces Tyson Fury for a second time.

The Ukrainian picked up the biggest win of his career last time out, defeating the ‘Gypsy King’ via split decision. While the Brit was having a fair bit of success early on, the tide turned just past the midway point when Usyk nearly finished Fury – with only the ropes keeping the 36-year-old up. Fury then struggled to regain any sort of momentum before eventually hearing the final bell.

While Usyk will be looking to put Fury away for good this time around, the Brit is out for revenge and has cut quite an intimidating figure in the build-up to fight night over in the Middle East. The event serves as a real early Christmas present to fans, with the undercard featuring some big names. Both Moses Itauma and Johnny Fisher are two Brits who are also competing later as they both look to maintain their perfect records. Here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s fights…

Quotes corner

Tyson Fury: “A lot of people, when they come to training camp, I’ve been saying this to my team all week, everybody thinks the job’s done.  Oh, you got through camp unscathed and everything’s good, you’re here in one piece.  I think fight week is the most important time of your training because during camp you can make a mistake, you can have a late night, you cannot sleep one night, whatever.  And it’s fine.  You get through, because you’re a long time [out for].  Make them mistakes in fight week, you go around too many people, you catch cold, you get an illness, whatever, even on the day before it’s all – it can all be finished.  Remember when I fought Ngannou? They did a gala dinner or something the night before and I didn’t sleep.  I woke up on Thursday morning, say – whatever time, 8 o’clock.  I never slept again until Sunday morning about 4 in the morning.  I was awake all that time and no sleep from Thursday morning waking up to well after the fight, late into Sunday hours in the morning.  It really affected me.  I don’t even know how I got through the fight, never mind from the fight.  Yeah.  It’s very important, this week.”

Oleksandr Usyk: “I feel good. It continues, the 13th round because I feel like this. Tyson Fury too had a chance in the sixth round, maybe the seventh round, maybe 12th, 11th, first, second. But Tyson did not do it. It’s just talk. Tyson said I had the chance. Yeah, no problem. We have a second fight, I’ll try.”
