A baby boy is fighting for his life after being found at a home in Cambridgeshire, as a woman and a man are arrested. Emergency services were called on Saturday as they rushed the baby to hospital in “lfe-threatning condition”.
Police were alerted to the incident on St John’s Chase in March at around 11am on January 3 after ambulance crews raised concerns. A man and a woman were subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of Class B and C drugs. Medical officers gave the baby emergency care at the scene before rushing him to the hospital due to the seriousness of his condition.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were called by the ambulance service at about 11am on Saturday 3 January to St John’s Chase, March, where medics were treating a baby boy in a serious, life-threatening condition.”
They added: “The baby was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
“A 25-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, both from March, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and possessing Class B/C drugs.”
