Reason Andrew is being pushed to move out of Royal Lodge by Easter | Royal | News

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly being forced to move out of Royal Lodge by Easter for one major reason, it has been revealed. The 65-year-old, who signed a 75-year lease on the 30-room property back in 2003, was stripped of his royal titles and honour last year amid his connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Despite being adamant on staying at Royal Lodge, despite numerous calls to the King to evict his brother, Andrew has now been given a time at which he needs to have moved out by – with a reason behind the date. The royal is being forced to move out by Easter as the Royal Family will be in Windsor to celebrate the holiday.

Members of the Royal Family annually attend a service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on Easter Sunday – which will take place on April 5 this year.

The Daily Mail’s royal editor, Rebecca English, has claimed that Andrew’s eviction this spring would help the royals avoid “another potentially tricky encounter” during Easter.

Speaking of where Andrew will likely live after moving out, she added: “While I understand Marsh Farm at Sandringham, which was recently mooted as a possibility, is destined to be his new home, it is considered ‘quite small’ and needs a ‘lot of work doing on it’ to make it habitable and secure.

“The plan is that he will not be at Royal Lodge by Easter. But might there need to be an interim measure [as regards moving to Norfolk]? Possibly.”

Explaining further about Andrew’s potential move to Norfolk, another outlet added that it likely won’t be quick transition.

Another source added: “It’s difficult to know if he [Andrew] is being deliberately provocative, utterly pig-headed or just plain stupid.

“Knowing Andrew, it could be any one of the three. But he seems unable to keep his head down. He really is a man with a habit of making terribly bad decisions.”

Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who also lives at Royal Lodge, did not spend Christmas at the Sandringham estate with the royals last month.
