Clothing brand with 20 UK high street stores opens in famous city shopping centre | UK | News

A famous clothing brand that already has 20 stores across the UK is set to open its newest store in a massively popular shopping centre in a major UK city. Athleisure brand Lululemon will open its first store in the Midlands when it opens at Birmingham’s Bullrings shopping centre. The brand-new 5,700 sq ft store promises to showcase the brand’s latest range of activewear products.

“We are committed to bringing the most exciting and dynamic brands to Bullring to deliver what our customers want,” said Paul O’Brien, director of leasing & commercialisation at Hammersson, which operates the Bullring shopping centre.

“Bringing Lululemon to the Midlands for the first time is a testament to the appeal of Bullring, a best-in-class destination with an exceptional line-up of big-name retailers.”

Lululemon was founded in 1998 by Chip Wilson in Vancouver and opened its first standalone store in 2000. It has expanded across the globe since, and opened its first UK store in 2014, when it launched its first European store in Covent Garden in London.

The brand quickly expanded and now has 20 stores across the country. Eleven of these stores are found in London, with locations including Battersea, Chelsea, Canary Wharf and Spitalfields. There are also Lululemon stores in Brighton, Bath and Cambridge.

Lululemon has enjoyed impressive growth over the last few years. At the end of 2025, the fashion retailer reported a 7% rise in third-quarter revenues to $2.6 billion (£1.94 billion).

Last year, it also opened its first European airport store in the UK, launching in London Heathrow Airport in the summer.

Fraser Brown, retail director at Heathrow, said at the time: “We are thrilled to welcome Lululemon to Heathrow, their first airport store in Europe. As we strive to make every journey better, the launch of Lululemon in Terminal 5 will give passengers the opportunity to enjoy their travel experience with added comfort and style. Lululemon has amassed a cult following for good reason, and we are excited to welcome such an iconic activewear brand to Heathrow.”
