Frank was dismissed by the north London outfit after a difficult run of results that has seen them fall to 16th in the Premier League standings. As a result, Spurs were determined to secure a seasoned manager capable of delivering swift results – and Tudor certainly matches that profile.
He has enjoyed spells at Lazio and Juventus in recent seasons, during which he worked alongside current Tottenham forward Muani. Tudor was sacked within twelve months at Juve after succeeding Thiago Motta, though not before steering them towards a Champions League qualification position in the Serie A standings.
Prior to this, he served as head coach at Lazio. While he lasted just 11 games before stepping down, he secured six victories, suffered two defeats and recorded three draws. This proved the instant influence that Tudor can have over a short period.

Before he began his work with Juve, Tudor was quick to commend Muani during his first press conference. He said: “We also have Kolo Muani, and their [alongside Dusan Vlahovic] presence is a big advantage for the team.”
Muani continued to earn Tudor’s praise following Juve’s 2-0 victory over Monza, with the striker finding the net in the opening half to double his side’s lead.
Speaking afterwards, Tudor said: “I liked Kolo Muani’s performance a lot, especially from an attitude perspective: he was able to understand the match well, it was a complete performance.”
These remarks demonstrate that Tudor has high expectations for his trusted attacking option over the remainder of the season. Muani is presently on loan at Spurs from Paris-Saint Germain and has registered just six goal contributions across 27 appearances so far.
Fans will be hoping that Tudor can unlock the prolific forward’s potential and guide Tottenham clear of the relegation zone during the crucial final months of the campaign.
The incoming manager will have an opportunity to familiarise himself with his new squad whilst FA Cup fixtures take centre stage throughout England this weekend.
