Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will likely not carry out a tell-all interview for one major reason, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams. The sisters are thought to have grown increasingly frustrated with their parents’ connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and are reportedly wanting to “clear their names” in the evergrowing scandal.
Mr Fitzwilliams has urged the sisters to rethink a potential interview as “more information is coming out”.
He told the Daily Express: “They won’t [do an interview] as more information is coming out most recently details of their visit to Florida with Sarah Ferguson when Epstein had just come out of prison and was under house arrest.”
The expert also added: “There are also rumours about them having dealings in the Middle East. Their parents are in disgrace and their father could face charges from the police.
“A double interview would only feed what is becoming a frenzy with so much more to come out.”
Shortly after their visit to his mansion in the US, Epstein emailed Ghislaine Maxwell to tell her, “ferg and the two girls come [sic] yesterday”.
The day before, an email showed Sarah had emailed Epstein herself, writing: “What address shall we come to. It will be myself, Beatrice and Eugenie. Are we having lunch?”
Details of the visit also appear in the files, including that the group met at Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion and were served vegetable lasagne prepared by a Parisian chef.
According to the Mail on Sunday, Epstein said: “[Sarah] was the first to celebrate my release with her two daughters in tow. She visited me with [a] policeman sitting at my front desk. She has asked for help with her charities”.
