Aldi has introduced a four-bottle limit on one of its bestselling champagnes after demand surged across the UK. The popular champagne was reduced from £13.99 to £9.99 until Valentine’s Day and is now back to being £13.99. With bottles “flying off shelves faster than shoppers can pop a cork”, the budget supermarket introduced a four-bottle limit per customer. The champagne, Nicolas de Montbart Champagne Brut, is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
According to Aldi, the bubbly offers bright fruit flavours, delicate floral notes and a crisp, elegant finish. The supermarket describes the champagne as “bursting with bright fruit and delicate floral notes, it’s an easy-drinking, aperitif-style sparkling.”
Aldi wrote: “Bottles are flying off shelves faster than shoppers can pop a cork, prompting a maximum four bottles per customer rule on Nicolas de Montbart Champagne Brut.

The award-winning champagne features aromas of ripe apples and soft red fruits, alongside delicate floral hints. On the palate, citrus, strawberry and baked apple flavours give way to a clean, lingering finish, according to the budget supermarket.
It was also reduced to £15.49 in the run up to Valentine’s Day.
