Sarah Ferguson strikes off seventh company day after Andrew’s arrest | Royal | News

Sarah Ferguson has applied to dissolve a seventh company she owns, the day after her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. It comes after she applied to have six of her other companies struck off the Companies House register earlier this week, meaning they will soon be dissolved if no objection is raised.

Her seventh company, Coat Company Production Ltd, is the subject of the latest request. At the start of the week, six others applied to be removed – La Luna Investments Limited, Planet Partners Production Limited, S. Phoenix Events Limited, Fergie’s Farm Limited, Philanthrepreneur Ltd and Solamoon Limited.

The companies appear to have been set up as vehicles for her career as a public speaker and brand ambassador, as well as a way to allow her to launch her own lifestyle brand.

Coat Company Production LTD is described as focusing on motion picture production activities, with Sarah appointed as director in 2018.

Sarah has previously served as a producer on the well-known film, The Young Victoria, which charts the early reign of Queen Victoria and her marriage to Prince Albert and stars Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend in the leading roles.

She also produced the television series of her children’s book, Budgie the Little Helicopter, and the 2024 film, An American in Austen, in which Sarah had a cameo role as ‘The Duchess’.

According to the most recent balance sheet on Companies House, the business recorded a £111 loss in 2025.

The news of Sarah closing another of her companies follows the shock arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on his 66th birthday yesterday. The ex-Duchess is yet to break cover and her whereabouts remain unknown, although it is thought she is not in the UK.

When the news became public, King Charles issued a statement. It began: “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.

“What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.

“Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all. Charles R.”

Andrew has continuously denied any wrongdoing.
