Donald Trump appeared to shuffle and barely muster sufficient energy to exit Air Force One following his weekend arrival at Mar-a-Lago.
The president has faced mounting scrutiny concerning his health, as Americans draw attention to his public blunders, apparent physical constraints, discoloured hands, and swollen ankles, despite Trump’s claims that he is the “healthiest president.”
However, a video circulating on X sparked fresh concerns about the Trump’s health as viewers noted Trump seemingly struggling to descend the stairs of Air Force One. He appears to waddle from the aircraft exit before carefully making his way down the steps, even stopping for a brief rest midway.
“Yesterday, Trump had a real tough time getting himself positioned to sit in a chair. This morning, I saw video of him descending the stairs at AF1 – he not only held the rail for balance, but he stopped and paused halfway down. He’s definitely been rickety and unsteady of late,” said one user of the video, which circulated on Saturday.
“Wow! Trump really is looking old, tired and disheveled – he can barely make it down the steps of Air Force One!” another noted.
“Trump can barely get off the plane. The Iran war stress is aging him rapidly,” a third user added. This development comes after President Trump visibly struggled to lower himself into a chair during a Friday morning ceremony.
Trump, appeared to grip the table with both hands and twisted into an awkward-looking position before eventually sitting down.
His face contorted as though bending his knees caused discomfort.
The president’s official schedule indicates he intended to spend the weekend and part of Monday in Florida, then travel to Tennessee and return to the White House later on Monday.
The trip arrives as Americans wrestle with soaring gas, beef, and electricity prices. The president’s numerous weekends away from the White House have drawn criticism from various quarters.
“The country is at war, and the president is peacing out for another weekend at his private club in Florida that he’ll spend with his paying customers,” said journalist Aaron Rupar.
Another X user observed that Trump is spending the weekend at his private estate to “schmooze paying customers.
“Real wartime leadership: golf, galas, and donor dinners.” Others pointed out that each of Trump’s trips funnels more taxpayer money directly into his pocket.
“WE are his paying customers,” wrote one person. “I am reminded whenever I buy ANYTHING.”
