A fierce critic of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has claimed the Sussexes are using glimpses of private family life as a promotional tool. Camilla Tominey of The Telegraph, referred to videos uploaded to Instagram by Meghan of Princess Lilibet and Princess Archie enjoying Easter by taking part in an egg hunt and Easter games at their Montecito home.
Writing in her column, she stated: “Here are parents who repeatedly insist on fiercely protecting their children’s privacy, yet are apparently deploying them as promotional tools. By filming from behind or the side and refusing to show their faces, the Sussexes seem to believe they have struck a clever compromise. Critics, however, see it as another marketing tool.”
She added: “What remains is the careful drip-feed from their self-styled Montecito paradise – tantalising glimpses presumably designed to keep the public hooked.”
Harry and Meghan spent Easter in Montecito, California, and the Duchess of Sussex gave her fans an intimate look at the family’s day on Instagram. Meghan posted a carousel full of videos of her children, Archie and Lilibet, playing together and decorating eggs.
