A man in his 20s has been hospitalised after he was stabbed in a beer garden in a small UK town. Emergency services rushed to the scene at 11.50pm on Saturday following reports of an injured man outside the White Horse on North Street in Sudbury.
The victim is believed to have been attacked shortly before the call was made, in the beer garden of the Comfortable Cow on King Street. He was assaulted and stabbed in his arm by two men wearing face coverings and carrying bladed weapons. They then chased him from the scene and turned right up King Street.
Ambulance crews took the victim to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
The first suspect is described as at least 5ft 6in, with a slim build, and wearing a black Adidas-style hoodie and a balaclava. The second suspect is described as shorter than 5ft 6in, slim build, and wearing black clothes with a balaclava.
Police are working on the belief that the attack was targeted and the victim was known to the suspects. They have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage as part of their enquiries.
Any witnesses or anyone with information or footage from the area at the time has been urged to contact Suffolk Police, quoting crime reference 37/22007/26.
