Donald Trump delivered a blunt one-word response to a journalist who attempted to quiz him about the Iran conflict.
On Saturday, April 18, the U.S. president signed an executive order aimed at fast-tracking research into psychedelic substances for mental health treatment. He welcomed several cabinet members and high-profile figures, including Joe Rogan, to the White House to witness the signing.
Members of the press were also present at the Oval Office gathering to report on the order. However, when a CBS reporter attempted to steer the conversation towards the ongoing strikes in the Middle East, the session was brought to an abrupt end. While taking questions from journalists, CBS News’ Olivia Rinaldi began: “Mr. President, a question on Iran, Iranian gunboats fired upon two vessels today. President Macron said that-.”
Trump cut her off mid-sentence, saying, “Out,” as one of his aides simultaneously instructed her to leave. The remaining journalists were also told to vacate the room as the president drew the meeting to a close, expressing his gratitude to those in attendance.
On Saturday, February 28, the U.S. and Israel carried out initial military operations against Iran, resulting in the deaths of several Iranian officials, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Trump announced the Iranian leader’s death that same afternoon. Taking to his Truth Social platform, he celebrated the elimination of “one of the most evil people in history,” describing it as retribution for the devastation inflicted upon Americans and others affected by Iran’s regime.

“This is not only Justice for the people of Iran,” Trump wrote, “but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty THUGS.”
He further stated that U.S. military operations against Iran would press on. Trump declared, “The heavy and pinpoint bombing, however, will continue, uninterrupted throughout the week or, as long as necessary to achieve our objective of PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, INDEED, THE WORLD!”
While delivering a speech at Trump National Doral in the days following the onset of the strikes, the President expressed confidence that the conflict would be resolved “very soon.” Nevertheless, he made clear the campaign would continue “until the enemy is totally and decisively defeated.

“We’ve already won in many ways, but we haven’t won enough,” he noted.
Since then, Trump has regularly used his Truth Social platform to keep Americans abreast of the latest developments.
On April 8, he disclosed that the United States and Iran had reached an agreement for a two-week ceasefire.
As that deadline draws near, the President has issued a chilling five-word threat to Iran.
