Police have launched an urgent appeal after reports of a woman being “grabbed and dragged to the floor” in broad daylight.
Cleveland Police are asking for the public’s help after the incident took place as the victim walked near Hardwick Pond, behind Hardwick play area, in Stockton, at 1.30pm on Monday (April 20).
“The woman managed to escape and thankfully didn’t suffer any serious injures, but she was understandably shaken by the incident,” a spokesperson for Cleveland Police said.
The force also said “the man is described as being of medium build, wearing an all-black tracksuit and a face covering and was on a black pedal bike”.
Police “would particularly like to speak to a woman who had light-coloured hair and was wearing light blue clothing”.
“There were lots of dog walkers and people in the park at the time who came to help the woman and officers would like to speak to anyone who was there at the time,” the spokesperson added.
