Superdrug and Just Eat have announced an exclusive tie-up to deliver makeup products straight to people’s doors in two UK cities. The new delivery service will be available in London and Manchester on May 8 and 9.
Caroline Bates, grocery and retail director at Just Eat, said: “Superdrug launching on Just Eat means customers can now get their beauty essentials conveniently delivered on demand, whenever their glam doesn’t go to plan. We’re always looking at how we can make everyday moments easier and show up for our customers when it matters most. That’s why we’re delighted to team up with makeup artist CC Clarke to offer this first-of-its-kind trial and deliver a proper glam rescue.”
Clarke is reportedly known for bold, “high-glam” transformations, according to Just Eat. She will visit participants’ homes as part of the “Glam in a Jam” scheme, which includes a 45-minute makeover and selection of Superdrug products.
Just Eat said of its time-limited trial: “Glam in a Jam aims to ensure beauty inconveniences don’t derail our plans by providing more than just the replacement products – it delivers the professional hands to apply them.”
Slots are available to book on Eventbrite. Bookings open from 9am on Wednesday (May 6) on a first-come, first-served basis.
But the service is only available to people who live in three postcodes: Manchester M3 and London SW4 and SW12.
You must be 18 years old or over and be at home during an allocated time slot, which cannot be transferred or changed after confirmation.
Just Eat and Superdrug said their partnership would offer speedy solutions for makeup mishaps.
They maintain that customers will be able to order a wide range of products directly to their doorsteps in as little as half an hour.
The pharmacy and delivery company pointed to new research that said Brits lose an average of four hours a month to fixing last-minute makeup mishaps.
