Tesco launches new £7.50 offer if you do one thing after watching TV | Personal Finance | Finance

Tesco is offering Britain’s Got Talent voters the chance to bag up to 250 Clubcard points, worth £7.50 in vouchers. Each time a viewer votes on ITV’s hit show, they can get 50 free points.

The scheme was launched to mark the show’s first live semi-final on Saturday (April 25). There are five more live shows this month, meaning 250 Clubcard points are available in total. This equates to a £2.50 spend at the supermarket giant or up to £7.50 with Clubcard Reward Partners.

To take part, you obviously need a Clubcard, but will also need to sign up for a free ITV.com account so you can vote.

Clubcard holders who want to vote should visit ITV’s website once voting opens.

When done for the first time, each voter will need to verify their mobile phone number.

According to Tesco, five votes need to be cast during a show’s voting window.

After voting, a link should be generated to collect the Clubcard points.

Tesco said the 50 free points can take up to two days to show up in Clubcard accounts.

The free points are not capped per household so if there are two or more account holders everyone gets to benefit from the freebie points.

BGT live shows are due to air on:

Saturday, May 9 (time to be confirmed, TBC)

People who don’t want to watch BGT but would like the points can still vote and collect them.

Tesco said this might involve having to refresh the page a few times while the programme is being broadcast because the voting window is revealed on the live show.

The retailer added: “There’s also the moral question as to whether you should vote for talent show acts you haven’t seen as it could skew the outcome.

“You could ask a friend or family member who does watch the show who they thought that night’s best acts were.”
