Brits can expect to see a mini heatwave with a warm spell set to hit in the coming weeks.
Weather maps from WXCharts, using MetDesk data, are bright orange showing a 24C scorcher is forecast over a few days of warmth.
Welcoming most of the glorious weather is the south, with London and Surrey seeing highs of 23C.
Areas across the Midlands are also expected to see warms of around 20C.
On Thursday, May 21 temperatures are then expected to stay a similar level before increasing again ahead of the weekend.
On Friday, May 22 England will reach 24C in some regions as the weather maps turn orange.
Devon and Dorset are likely to reach 23C or above, with other areas by the sea also seeing highs.
London is predicted to be the hottest spot reaching a high of 24C.
Despite the warmth down south, other areas of the UK will not be basking in the sun.
In Scotland, the highs will only be 15C, nearly 10C cooler than in parts of England.
Despite the warm spell predicted, the Met Office‘s long-range forecast suggests that the period may also see somerain.
The Met Office’s forecast covering 15 to 24 May states: “Changeable and at times rather unsettled conditions look to dominate through the middle part of May, with low pressure often close by.
“This means periods of rain or showers, some of which could be heavy, for many places, though some drier interludes are also expected.
“For the most part, temperatures are likely to be close to or perhaps a little below normal, with winds often blowing from a northwesterly quadrant. By the end of this period, pressure may increase towards the southwest, which could bring more in the way of dry weather here.”
