Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been snubbed from an upcoming royal wedding in an “act of war”. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly not been invited to attend the wedding of Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillips, in Gloucestershire at the start of next month.
Speaking on the Daily Expresso podcast, royal commentator Mark Dolan said Harry will be “hurting” after finding out he hasn’t been invited to his cousin’s wedding at All Saints Church, Cirencester, on June 6. He explained: “Unfortunately, for weddings, the guest list writes itself most of the time.” Podcast host JJ Anisiobi added: “So the fact that Harry went to Peter Phillips’ first wedding, Peter went to Harry and Meghan’s wedding, and now Peter has not invited Harry.”
Mr Dolan then continued: “Well, this is it, it’s an act of war! This is brutal. I suspect that Harry would not have attended the wedding for fear of bumping into William.
“He’s also got quite a few engagements this year. He’s coming for the Invictus countdown and he might be back later in the year aswell. But it’s not about whether he’s there. It’s about that invitation – did it go to Montecito, California?”
He added that “this will be very painful for Harry.” The royal podcaster explained: “Harry will be devastated by this, he’ll be hurting. Meghan couldn’t care less because there is not the emotional capital for Meghan. Harry is desperate to get back to England and his family. He misses his old life.”
Peter Phillips will marry Harriet Sperling next month with King Charles and Queen Camilla expected to be in attendance alongside Prince William and Princess Catherine. However, according to a royal insider, Harry, Meghan, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson have all been excluded from the guest list.
It was previously believed that the wedding would see William and Harry reuinited once again. The brothers were last together at the funeral of their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, in August 2024 but sat apart and did not speak.
Meanwhile, princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have reportedly been invited to the royal wedding. It would be their first public appearance with their royal relatives since the release of the Epstein files in January.
Their father was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office regarding his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He is accused of sharing confidential information with disgraced financier while working as a UK trade envoy.
