One royal who has been huge help to Prince William in ‘tough times’ | Royal | News

While this is a lot for anyone to take, it would no doubt have been exceptionally hard to navigate in the public eye. However, William has never complained. Instead, he has continued on with royal duty, and has navigated through these personal real-life challenges with plenty of love and support around him. This includes support from his wife and closest family.

However, it was revealed by one royal expert today that William has also been receiving well-needed help and support from one unexpected royal.

That is Mike Tindall, who married into the Royal Family when he wed Zara Tindall – Prince William’s cousin – in 2011.

Speaking to The Mirror, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said: “I think the rest of the family regard Mike as a huge asset, and a solid character who has helped William through some tough times.”

She continued: “He’s immensely likeable and seems like a great husband and super fun dad.”

Mike very rarely steps out with the Royal Family, only making appearances with them for key family events such as Christmas at Sandringham.

Just this week, Mike revealed that Princess Catherine still plays beer pong – or “prosecco pong” – at parties, showing just how well he knows the royals.
