As summer is officially here, many people will looking to ditch the UK and enjoy a holiday abroad, even if temperatures across the UK are expected to rise up to 30C in the next few weeks. But it seems like Brits’ holiday habits are changing.

Research has shown that many Brits are ditching holidays in Southern Europe, as popular destinations in Spain, Turkey and Greece are seeing less tourists from the UK.

But while many might be worries about the large crowds of tourists in popular holiday destinations, there are several hidden gems just waiting to be explored.

Taking to TikTok, one account went on to praise they’d found ‘Spain’s real paradise’, as they urged holidaymakers to ditch places like Ibiza and Marbella and explore this lesser-known paradise instead.

“Forget Ibiza. This is Spain’s real paradise,” the overlay text on the video read, as it showed a snippet of the picturesque town with a beach in the background.

The video went on to highlight the gorgeous sandy beach with clear blue water that ‘looks straight out of the Caribbean’. There are also hidden water coves that are waiting to be discovered.

If you want a break from the beach, there are also Medieval towns and castles to explore, as well as coastal walking trails that boasts gorgeous views.

They added in the caption of the post: “Costa Brava is one of the most beautiful destinations in Spain, with crystal-clear waters, hidden beaches, charming medieval villages, scenic coastal walks, and stunning Mediterranean views.”

The Costa Brava, meaning “Wild Coast,” is a rugged, picturesque stretch of coastline in Catalonia, northeastern Spain. Stretching from Blanes to the French border, it is renowned for dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, medieval villages, and its ties to the surrealist artist Salvador Dalí.
