Shower screens can rapidly look grimy even when not in use, resulting in uncomfortable situations when surprise visitors ask to use your bathroom. While glass cleaner remains an option, TikTok cleaning guru @jetlagremedy has shared a far superior technique for achieving pristine, brand-new-looking glass.
In a widely-viewed video, she demonstrates her technique: “How I clean glass as a professional cleaner“, she explains. “I’m gonna show you how I personally clean a shower screen as a professional cleaner.”
She commences with a spray solution of washing-up liquid and water, coating it generously across “the entirety of the screen,” both sides included.
Subsequently, she advises polishing the screen with a “cloth or a soft sponge”. She discovers that working in circular movements produces the finest outcomes.
For those whose shower head cannot reach the screen, she proposes utilising “a bucket” or “a bottle of water” for the rinsing process.
She illustrates this by tipping water along the uppermost edge of the screen, enabling it to flow downwards in a shower-style cascade.
Following this, she utilises a squeegee to eliminate “as much of that water off” as feasible.
To secure an immaculate shine, she recommends drying with a microfibre towel. For an additional sparkling result, she chooses to “use Windex or a homemade glass cleaner along with a glass cloth”.
For a brilliantly clean shower screen, the secret is to apply the cleaning solution to both the interior and exterior surfaces, then polish it with a glass cloth. The anticipated result is “no soap scum, no smudge marks”, simply “an extremely clean glass panel”.
A cleaning expert suggests: “You can also shine up those metal parts with some steel cleaner”. Choosing natural cleaning products is a sensible decision for multiple reasons.
They are becoming increasingly popular as they tend to be safer for both individual wellbeing and the environment. Conventional cleaners frequently contain harsh chemicals that may cause skin irritation, respiratory problems, and other health issues, especially for those with allergies or sensitivities.
Natural alternatives, conversely, generally use ingredients like vinegar, baking soda, or plant-based extracts, which carry a reduced risk of triggering adverse reactions.
Furthermore, these environmentally friendly options are biodegradable and less prone to pollute waterways or harm wildlife.
Numerous people also prefer natural cleaners owing to their limited toxic residue, rendering them a safer choice for homes with young children or pets.
In summary, natural cleaning products offer an effective and ecologically sound alternative to conventional cleaning agents, promoting a healthier home environment and a more sustainable planet.
