Voters in Makerfield go to the polls today in a by-election that could change history.
Labour candidate Andy Burnham is set to tell Sir Keir Starmer to resign in a planned meeting over the weekend, if he is elected.
But Reform candidate Robert Kenyon is also in the running. There have been plenty of polls over the past few weeks, but only local voters will decide the winner.
If Mr Burnham fails to win the seat then Labour is set to be plunged into a leadership crisis without him, as former health secretary Wes Streeting launches his own campaign to replace Sir Keir as Labour leader and Prime Minister.
