Aaron Taylor Johnson 6/1

Perhaps the biggest star on the shortlist, who’s been dodging James Bond casting questions for the last couple of years. The 36-year-old has proved both his comic and action chops across a plethora of movies from Kick-Ass, Tenet and Avengers to Bullet Train, Kraven the Hunter and 28 Years Later. Of course, he also played John Lennon in 2009’s Nowhere Boy, but that was back when he was a teenager, not on the cusp of potentially being cast as 007.

The current bookies’ favourite certainly fits the bill. The 36-year-old Fantastic Beasts star is on the cusp of A-list stardom and certainly has the looks to take on Ian Fleming’s spy. Fans were quick to spot him wearing a signature Bond tuxedo in his professionally snapped wedding photos with his wife Dua Lipa. If cast as 007, she’d be an obvious contender to not only co-star as a Bond girl, but sing his first Bond theme.
Of course, take the bookies’ race with a pinch of salt. The former 007 casting director of the three Bond actors says she wouldn’t go for the movie stars on this list, but more likely a non-household name, as Daniel Craig was 21 years ago.
