‘Monster’ who raped girl, 2, for a decade dies just months into prison | UK | News

A convicted child sex offender, once described as a “monster” by his victim, died just months after starting a lengthy prison sentence. Terrence Hulme, 88, was serving time at HMP Parc in Bridgend when he became unwell and was transferred to hospital, where he died in September 2024. He had been sentenced in October 2023 to 18 years in prison after being found guilty of a sustained “campaign” of sexual abuse against a child spanning the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

Court proceedings heard that the abuse began when the victim was just two years old and continued into her teenage years. Hulme was also found to have used threats of violence and intimidation to silence her for decades, Wales Online reports.
