Police are investigating after shots were fired at a house by the occupants of a vehicle in a UK city. The incident happened at a property on Foley Road, Birmingham, in the early hours of today (4 July).
West Midlands Police said no one was injured and they are “working to identify those involved”. The house was fired at on Wednesday, police also said, adding that there will be “a visible presence in the area over the coming days”.
Officers are reviewing CCTV and carrying out door-to-door enquiries.
A spokesperson said: “We are investigating after shots were fired at a property in Foley Road, Birmingham, in the early hours of today (Saturday). Thankfully, no one was injured and we are working to identify and trace those involved.
“Investigators understand the shots were fired at the house by the occupants of a vehicle just before 2.30am. It follows a similar incident at the property at around 7.30pm on Wednesday (1 July) during which no one was hurt.
“The family involved were safeguarded following that incident and officers are continuing to review CCTV as we work to establish who was responsible.
“Door-to-door enquiries are also being carried out and there will be a visible police presence in the area over the coming days.
“We know how worrying gun crime is, and we are working around the clock to take guns off the streets of the West Midlands.”
