UK weather maps shows 38 counties set for scorching 30C or above | Weather | News

Several areas in the UK could again see temperatures rising up to 30C or above next week as the latest forecast said another heatwave is set to hit the country.

Weather maps from the Met Office are predicting 38 counties could reach at least 30C on Saturday, July 11. The latest updates from the forecaster said heatwave conditions are likely to develop next week, with high pressure set to remain the “dominant feature of the UK weather pattern”.

Temperatures are expected to climb steadily especially in southern and eastern England. Many southern and central areas are forecast to reach the high 20s, while parts of south-east England could climb into the low 30s.

In a separate forecast, WXCharts.com said southern England could be baking in temperatures of 30C or higher on Saturday, July 11. But hot conditions are also forecast across the Midlands and parts of northern England. London and the Home Counties, along with Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire, are expected to be among the hottest areas too, with temperatures climbing into the low 30s. Some parts of Cambridgeshire could even hit 35C.

In its long-range outlook covering Friday, July 10, to Sunday, July 19, the Met Office says: “Temperatures by day will be widely very warm, hot or even very hot in parts of the south.”

The weather, however, is set to remain uncertain and unsettled, and the Met Office also said northern and western parts of the UK may experience heavy rain or thundery showers.

Dry and very warm weather is then expected across England and Wales, although there will remain a risk of thunderstorms moving in from France.
