Prince Harry is back to his usual fun-loving, jovial self today as he gets stuck in playing a series of sports at a special Invictus Games event in Birmingham. The Duke of Sussex, who lost his £50m privacy case against the publishers of the Daily Mail earlier in the week, tried his hand at pickleball, laser run and wheelchair rugby during a series of demonstration matches to mark one year until the annual tournament.
Harry showed off his skills with a racket when he tried pickleball, an alternative to tennis, at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. Missing was the Duchess of Sussex, who was due to attend the event but did not fly to the UK with Harry earlier this week because of security concerns. She is expected to fly to the UK with her two children later today.
However partway through the event, when he was chatting with staff, a blaring car alarm interrupted him. It was understood to be one of the sponsored cars in the corner of the NEC and was turned off after a couple of minutes. There was no security issue.
