A popular drink has been urgently recalled, with customers advised not to consume it and instead return it for a full refund. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued the alert about certain batches of the beverage, which is particularly popular with children.
Anyone who has purchased the affected batches has been encouraged to check them thoroughly. Capri Sun UK Limited is recalling specific batches of Capri-Sun Orange, as some multipacks include pouches mistakenly labelled as Capri-Sun Orange Zero. These pouches actually contain standard Capri-Sun Orange with the usual sugar content for that product, as accurately indicated on the multipack – not Capri Sun Zero.
This makes the product a potential hazard to consumers who have to monitor their sugar consumption.

The grounds for the recall is that it could present a danger to anyone who needs to regulate their sugar intake, such as diabetics. No other Capri-Sun products have been impacted by this matter.
What customers should do
Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail outlets that are stocking this product, which clarify to customers why the product is being recalled and inform them what action to take if they have purchased the products.
If you’ve checked the batch code and best before dates and they match, and you’re dependent on sugar content, don’t consume any of them.
Instead, customers are advised to return the product to the retailer, where a full refund will be issued. No receipt is required.
M&S Food’s Truffle Gouda recall
Another food recall issued in Northern Ireland this week involves M&S Food’s Truffle Gouda, following the detection of Listeria monocytogenes.
Customers who have purchased the 150g pack of cheese with the product code 29424887 with a use-by date of October 9, 2026, are strongly urged not to consume it and to return it to their nearest store for a full refund.
Symptoms associated with Listeria monocytogenes can closely resemble those of flu, including a high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea. In rare cases, however, the infection can be considerably more serious, potentially leading to severe complications such as meningitis.
