Harry spoke about various topics and answered a round of quick-fire questions, including about his full name, star sign and occupation. When asked what his occupation is, Harry briefly paused before answering: “Full-time dad, British army veteran, Prince of England, Duke.” Harry’s answer sparked debate among fans, with some of them even describing his new podcast interview as “cringeworthy”.
The King’s son may have stepped down as a senior working member of the Royal Family, but he still retains his royal titles; however, he has agreed not to use them for commercial purposes.
Harry still remains a prince by birth and is still a member of the Royal Family.
However, one user wrote on X: “No no, love. You quit the Prince job. You might still have the title, for now, but it’s not your occupation. Neither is Duke. Full time stay st home Dad sounds about right.”
Another one noted: “His job is prince of England yet he lives in Montecito CA in the USA.”
A third one said: “So, Aitch, I’d love to know. What EXACTLY do you do in your occupation as ‘Prince of England’?”
A fourth one wrote: “They should have asked him for his job description as ‘Duke’.”
Lastly, another one added: “Since he megxited, [he] ISNT a Duke that was a WORKTITLE he gave up – No official use. That guy is in serious DENIAL about his Resignation.”
Meanwhile, one user called the interview “cringe,” whilst another one said it’s “so lame”.
A third user agreed, saying: “It’s the cringiest thing ever.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the duke spoke movingly about showing affection to his children just as his mother, the late Diana, Princess of Wales, did to him.
Harry has described in the past how Diana would squeeze him and his brother, Prince William, as “tight as possible”.
He said: “The resilience of kids is amazing and the way they view life is so incredibly refreshing. And if a day is hard, one thing I will do is always squeeze my kids that extra, extra tight.”
