‘Prince Harry’s latest appearance showed us what Meghan saw in him’ | Royal | News

The podcast showed them discussing a range of topics, from the Invictus Games, to trauma and exercise, and even more personal questions. This included Harry’s grooming routine, his occupation, and his children. While some elements of the chat were serious, plenty of the conversation was laced with humour, with one expert believing this was good for the duke.

Speaking exclusively to The Daily Express, brand and culture expert Nick Ede said that the podcast appearance shows us a side of Harry, 41, that would have first attracted Meghan Markle to him back in 2016.

Ede said: “This is exactly the sort of appearance Prince Harry needed.

“He has so often been seen through the lens of legal battles, family tensions and serious interviews, but here we saw a far more natural, relaxed and genuinely funny side of him.

“It reminded people of the Prince Harry many connected with years ago, someone warm, self-deprecating and able to laugh at himself, which is what Meghan saw in him too.”

Charles welcomed Meghan and Harry’s children to his Highgrove residence during the afternoon after days of speculation over whether the family meeting would take place.

Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, last saw their grandfather in person during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.

It is understood the Queen who has a private home near to the King’s Gloucestershire property was also among the group.

The meeting between Charles and the young prince and princess is likely to be interpreted as a sign of the thawing of the relationship between the King and his son Harry.

The pair were estranged for some time especially after Harry criticised his father, stepmother Camilla, brother the Prince of Wales and sister-in-law Kate in his Oprah interview, Netflix documentary, interviews and his autobiography Spare, after stepping down from the working monarchy six years ago.

It is not known exactly when the family left the UK.
