Meghan Markle‘s episode of Masterchef Australia is scheduled to air next week. It was revealed earlier this year, during the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Australian tour, that Meghan had attended filming for the popular cooking show.

The Australian network and channel behind the production, Channel 10 and Endemol Shine, have revealed that the episode which features Meghan will air on Sunday, July 26 at 7pm [Australian time]. During the special episode, the 44-yearold will task the contestants with creating a dish fit for a Duchess by making one seasonal ingredient the focus of their plate.

The cooks then will be have to explain the personal story or memory connected to their chosen produce.

Meghan will then have to sample each dish alongside the judges.

According to Mediaweek, there were two factors which made Meghan agree to appearing on the show.

She said: “What attracted me to the MasterChef Australia kitchen? Two things: my love of food and my love of Australia. It was an easy yes.”

Meghan also added: “It’s such a great show. I’m just really honoured that I was asked to be able to be here with you and to be able to judge some of these meals.”

Her appearance comes over a year after the first series of her cooking and lifestyle show aired on Netflix, With Love, Meghan.

She shared, alongside a poster from the series, on Instagram: “A huge congratulations to the amazing crew, producers, and team who worked on ‘With Love, Meghan’ on @netflix “We are nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lifestyle Series!”
