Morrisons launches ‘summer savings’ campaign for ‘hundreds’ of products | UK | News

Morrisons has launched a new programme for the summer season as it plans to provide shoppers with better value on “hundreds” of seasonal favourites. The supermarket giant has launched “money-saving offers” that include multibuys, online promotions and in-store price cuts.

The offers will run throughout the summer, on products including fresh fruit, chocolate bars and soft drinks. Morrisons has not revealed the exact number of products that will be included in its price reduction campaign or the total amount it is investing in the initiative. However, it has assured customers that all discounted items and promotional offers will be clearly marked in stores, making it easier for shoppers to identify and take advantage of the savings, reports The Grocer.

As part of its summer promotion, Morrisons is reintroducing its popular three for £5 multibuy offer on fresh fruit throughout July and August. The deal allows customers to mix and match any three selected fruit products for a fixed price of £5.

Eligible items include a wide variety of fresh produce such as berries, cherries, grapes, nectarines, apples, oranges, and pears, providing shoppers with an affordable way to purchase seasonal fruits while enjoying greater choice and value.

Morrisons will also offer savings on “picnic staples”, including six-packs of Walkers French Fries, which have been reduced to £1.50, from £2.20, until August 2.

Dairylea Dunkers Jumbo Tubes have also been reduced to £1.50 from £3.29. Original and Light variants of Philadelphia Soft Cheese (165g) have been reduced from £2.25 to £1.35 until July 28.

Morrisons customer value and loyalty director Alex Paver said: “With the school holidays meaning more meals at home and more days out, we know value matters more than ever.

“That’s why we’ve focused these savings on our Market Street fresh fruit alongside popular snacks and drinks, helping customers enjoy fresh, quality food and make the most of summer for less.”

Continuing its focus on value across popular snack items, Morrisons has cut the price of several well-known biscuit brands throughout July.

The discounts include selected varieties of Penguin biscuits, which were previously priced at £2, along with a range of Cadbury chocolate biscuits, such as Mini Animals (previously £1.50) and Cadbury Fingers (previously £2.25). These products are now available for £1.25, offering shoppers significant savings on everyday treats and lunchbox favourites.

In addition to snack deals, Morrisons is also running a number of multibuy promotions on summer beverages. Customers can take advantage of a 2 for £3 offer on selected Fever-Tree tonics, while 750ml bottles of Schloer are also included in the promotion.
