Marks and Spencer shoppers have hailed a pair of trainers as “stylish” and “good value for money”. The high street store has plenty of footwear options available, yet one pair has picked up plenty of positive reviews.
Summer is a time when many opt for style as well as comfort. Sandals are great for keeping cool, yet trainers provide more support and durability. Marks and Spencer’s Cupsole Trainers are priced at £26 and come in white or black.
The product description reads: “Keep your casual looks sleek and sophisticated with these low-top trainers. The cupsole design features high, protective rubber sidewalls for optimal durability, and a classic lace-up fastening.
“An all-over pebble grain finish adds subtle texture to this minimalist style.” The trainers come in sizes three to eight, with the option of choosing half sizes.
Shoppers have said they fit true to size. Marks and Spencer has explained that the trainers feature Insolia Flex, which makes flat shoes more comfortable by keeping feet correctly placed and improves “the natural rotational movement of the ball of the foot”.
Many customers have left positive reviews as one said: “Fabulous fitting trainers! Very modern looking and so comfy. Perfect as they come in half sizes 3.5 many of the M&S footwear do not have half sizes! These are perfect and I am sure I will get plenty of wear out of them.”
Another added: “Very pleased with my purchase. I feel they were good value for money.” Someone else commented: “Very comfortable and smart,really good price.”
A fourth wrote: “Bought these to wear with dresses and skirts and they are really comfortable.” Another shared: “Immediately comfy, look good with dresses or jeans. So reasonable for the quality.”
However, some shoppers have struggled with the comfort of the shoes. One said: ” Shoes look lovely but have absolutely no support. After an hour of wear my feet were in agony. I wouldn’t recommend unless they are just for sitting in.”
Another added: “I need to wear white trainers for my hospitality job, and these are the most uncomfortable trainers I’ve ever worn.” Someone else commented: “So displeased. So sore – zero padding on base. If you plan to stand up all day, get a better pair. Ouch.”
Marks and Spencer isn’t the only store to sell white trainers ideal for summer. Tu at Sainsbury’s has White Chunky Canvas Trainers for £15 that come in sizes three to eight that have been labelled as “comfortable and smart.”
Meanwhile, Next has Friends Like These White Faux Leather Flatform Lace Up Casual Trainers for £24. They come in sizes three to nine with the option of standard fit or wide fit. Shoppers have branded the trainers “really comfy and good quality”.
