The video showed the second-in-line to the throne playing cricket with his siblings, petting the family dog, enjoying a boat trip, playing on the beach, and even exploring on some rocks.
The caption read: “Thank you for all the birthday wishes for George today!”
While many were quick to comment on how lovely the newly-released photograph and video were, not many noticed the hidden detail in the birthday posts.
That is, the captions on the social media posts simply referred to the prince as “George”, rather than using his title “Prince George”.
This may mean that they use the children’s titles as little as possible, especially while they are still children and not working royals.
This is shown by the fact that George, Charlotte and Louis do not use their royal titles at school, and instead go simply by their parents’ royal title as their surname. For example, Prince George in the classroom is believed to be known as “George Wales” – a nod to the fact his parents are The Prince and Princess of Wales.
