Drivers on a major motorway are facing severe delays during rush hour this morning following a crash. Traffic has come to a halt on a stretch of the M60 clockwise during rush hour on Monday.
The collision took place between junctions 16 at Pendlebury and 17 at Prestwich and Whitefield, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring service. Traffic is tailing back to junction 13 at Worsley, while the M61 southbound is also affected. Firefighters have been seen in attendance, the MEN reports. A post on Inrix said: “Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M60 clockwise from J16 A666 Manchester Road (Pendlebury) to J17 A56 Bury New Road (Prestwich / Whitefield). Lanes one and two (of four) are closed.”
