The maps from WXCharts indicate that certain counties will drop as low as 3C, with much of Scotland taking the brunt of the cool conditions.
Following highs of 32C, it is expected to feel even colder on Friday due to the rapid switch up.
Currently, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have issued an amber heat-health alert for the east midlands, the east, south east and London.
The alert remains in place until 9am on Thursday, with the agency previously warning that rising temperatures may increase health risks, particularly for vulnerable groups.
However, the Met Office highlight this will change towards the end of the week. Its forecast for Thursday states that fresher conditions will be felt for all.
It adds: “Outbreaks of rain, locally heavy at times, will affect northern Scotland.”
Then for Fridy to Sunday the weather forecasters say: “Friday and the weekend will hold onto a fresher feel. There will be a lot of dry weather with some sunny spells, though one or two showers are also possible.”
Although Scotland will be the coldest part of the UK several areas in northern England will also sit at 7C.
Greater Manchester will see lows of 8C, with the West Midlands likely to also be below 10C.
In London, highs are expected to reach 13C, with parts of Sussex climbing to 14C.

- Angus
- Perthshire
Following on from this cold snap, there could be a chance of further warm spells the following week. However, further heatwaves are not on the cards.
The Met Office say: “Temperatures closer to average, still the potential for some warmer interludes, especially in the south, although perhaps not the heat we have seen in recent weeks.”
