A teenage girl was allegedly raped after being left home alone by her parents. Police have launched an investigation following the reported attack on Wednesday (July 29).
It’s reported the girl was left alone while her parents went to work before her neighbour entered her home and sexually assaulted her. However, he remains at large and police are appealing to the public for information on his whereabouts. The force added that the girl was left bleeding following the alleged attack and required medical treatment. A medical examination confirmed that she had been raped.
As reported by ETV Bharat, the alleged rape took place in the city of Didwana in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The girl reported the attack to her parents after they returned home from work before an investigation was launched.
Although her neighbour, identified by local media as a young male, is the suspect in the attack, police are yet to make an arrest. Meanwhile, hundreds of locals reportedly gathered at the police station in the city demanding his arrest.
The victim’s parents reportedly returned home from work to find her bleeding. She told them what had happened before they then rushed her to Bangar Hospital for treatment.
