Amazon Prime issue apology as Man City pundit swears live on air after collapse | Football | Sport

Amazon Prime host Gabby Logan was forced to apologise to viewers after Josephine Henning blurted out a swear word while discussing Manchester City‘s draw with Feyenoord.

Pep Guardiola‘s side looked set to claim their first victory in five matches but were denied by a stunning comeback from their Dutch opponents, who left it late to salvage a hard-earned point.

Erling Haaland opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Ilkay Gundogan doubled City’s advantage in the second half. Haaland added another shortly afterwards but City went on to suffer a dramatic collapse as Feyenoord battled back.

Anis Hadj-Moussa gave the visitors a glimmer of hope before Santiago Gimenez and David Hancko found the net to complete the turnaround and leave City shell-shocked.

Henning, a former Germany international, raised eyebrows when she blurted out a swear word in her post-match analysis on Amazon Prime.

Running the rule over City’s collapse, she said: “I am talking about the feeling that you want to accept that the situation is… sorry on TV but s**t. You have to accept it.

“Gabby is looking at me like: ‘Oh my god, she said it’. But it is the worst and if you have the fear and in the second half I could see the fear, the anxious, you have to accept it but you have to say it brutally.”

Logan allowed Henning to finish but was quick to apologise to viewers, saying: “I am just looking at the time, it’s 20 past 10. I do apologise, but obviously City fans are thinking the same.

“I was thinking: ‘Say it in German’. But it sounds the same, so don’t say it in German!”

The result saw City fail to win for the fifth game in a row, with no end in sight to their current slump. Things will not get any easier for the Premier League champions, who will face Liverpool away from home in their next outing on the weekend.

It remains to be seen if Guardiola will be able to turn the tide or if City will continue to falter in their quest to get back to winning ways.
