While Louis is not Earl Spencer’s eldest child, the system of primogeniture that exists in the aristocracy means that titles are passed down to the oldest boy, not the firstborn child. This means that Louis will take on the responsibility for the estate rather than his elder sisters.
This will be a big responsibility for Louis, who at the moment lives a relatively quiet life.
The 31-year-old studied acting and uses the stage name Louis John Lyons for jobs. He is currently represented by Tavistock Wood talent agency.
An insider once told The Telegraph: “He’s super private and gets on quietly with his thing.”
The source continued: “He’s a very talented actor and, I think, will be a brilliant one. You’d like him. He’s very low-key and genuine, decent and kind and tall.”
It is believed Earl Charles Spencer, Princess Diana’s brother, is close with his son.
In 2023, the Earl revealed on the Rabbit Hole Detectives podcasts that he always says the same thing when his son takes to the stage.
Charles said: “My son’s an actor and I always say ‘break a leg’ and he always looks– well, he always looks slightly pained.”
