Big pack of Ariel washing pods fall to 35p each in Amazon Spring Sale

Keeping on top of laundry can be a nightmare. However often a load goes in, there always seems to be a growing mountain of dirty clothes, smelly PE kits, and musty towels that need a good wash. Add in the soaring price of laundry detergent, and it becomes a real headache.

Considering the cost of living crisis and people’s concern for the environment, many laundry detergent companies have started making specialist products. Whether they promise to clean at a cooler temperature, or pack a punch with double cleaning capacity in one capsule, there are plenty of options out there for maximising laundry loads and saving some money.

The pods are packed with two times the stain and odour removal in comparison to Ariel original 3in1 pods, and have built in pre-treat to minimise fuss.

According to the brand, with these pods buyers can wash colder as the pods dissolve even in cold water, meaning people can save up to 60% on their washing machine electricity bill. To get the best results, it’s advised to place the pod into the machine first and then the laundry on top. 

If the Ariel pods aren’t calling out to buyers, they could take a look at the Fairy Non Bio Pods Washing Capsules for sensitive skin at £12.50 from Ocado, which are said to last up to 58 washes. The Fairy pods are dermatologically tested and designed to add an extra layer of softness to clothes. The Ariel pods, however, do have a 4.7 out of 5 star rating from a total of 4 reviews on Amazon. One buyer has called them “excellent”, saying they have had “no problems” with the capsules.

Another said: “The effectiveness is good,” adding that the pods are “good value for money.”

Although there are no other reviews on site for the pods, buyers have shared their experiences with Amazon on Trustpilot as one said: “Been a Prime customer for six years now and my experience with Amazon is 10/10… Easy ordering, super fast delivery. Order from them nearly every other day. The best!”

Some, however, weren’t as pleased, as one wrote: “Very nice but delivery took too long.”

Another said: “Loved the price but the products are cheap for a reason.”
