King Charles has been warned against a huge possible “disaster” if Prince Harry is allowed to make a dramatic return to the royal fold.
With Prince Harry choosing to forego any new bombshells in his paperback release of Spare, many have deemed the move as him softening towards his feud with the Royal Family.
Some have said the move is an “olive branch” while others reckon it has ulterior motives, predicting that Harry may want to return to small royal duties.
However, former royal butler Grant Harrold has said that King Charles will be clear on the matter, should the Duke wish to return to royal duties.
Speaking to GB News, Mr Harrold said: “The King feels similar to his late mother – there’s no half in, half out.”
One of the biggest issues according to the former royal butler is Harry’s media engagements. He added: “If Harry does come back, he can’t do his media work and be a royal. It’s not something that they will want to support or endorse or have any sort of connection to.”
With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle involved in the media, namely with their bumper multi-year deal with Netflix, Mr Harrold warned it might go against the royal image.
He continued: “This is an actual member of the family getting involved in television. It hasn’t worked before with other members of the Royal Family. It’s a bit of a disaster.”
The royal expert also added that the King would want Harry to commit fully and not be in and out, flying between the US and UK as he often does now.
Mr Harrold said: “I think the King will, if he was to ask him to come back and support or be involved, he wouldn’t want him dilly-dallying and would want him focused on royal duties.”
