Graham Potter‘s six-month stint as Chelsea manager came to an abrupt end on Sunday night after Todd Boehly lost patience in his team’s performances. The Blues are on the lookout for the third manager in the space of a season with Bruno Saltor taking charge in the interim.
A number of names have already been linked with the vacancy but former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann has emerged as the clear bookies’ favourite.
Mauricio Pochettino, Roberto De Zerbi, Marco Silva, Ruben Amorim and Oliver Glasner are all also believed to be in the running with the club keen to take their time over their next appointment. No clear timeline has been set but it is said the club would like to have the new boss in place by the start of next season.
In the meantime, there are still important games to come this year with Liverpool the visitors to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday. There is also the small matter of a Champions League semi-final on the horizon as the Blues seek to salvage their campaign.
