Chelsea ensured a successful return to the King Power for boss Enzo Maresca, who out-thought his former club Leicester to wrap up another three points and keep the Blues comfortably in the top four.
Goals from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez wrapped up the victory, though a last-gasp penalty converted by Jordan Ayew set the nerves jangling.
Express Sport runs the rule over the player ratings for the fixture.
Robert Sanchez 7 – Got a hand to the late penalty and was unfortunate to keep it out. A strong afternoon overall.
Wesley Fofana 6 – Not the best return to his former stomping ground, but did what was required of him.
Benoit Badiashile 7 – A player growing in stature. Mistimed some tackles but quickly made up ground thereafter.
Levi Colwill 6 – Composed and calculated. Didn’t appear as sharp as he usually can be. Ended the match in worrying fashion, being treated by several members of the medical team.
Marc Cucurella 6 – An inoffensive performance, but looked lightweight and lacking imagination on the counter.
Moises Caicedo 8 – A big presence as ever. Constantly demanding on the ball. Living up to his big money tag.
Enzo Fernandez 8 – The exhiled man in recent weeks, Enzo badly needed his goal, and the emotions that poured out following was sufficient evidence. Having lost his place in recent weeks to Romeo Lavia, Enzo looked tenacious in the midfield, and also nabbed a tidy assist.
Cole Palmer 7 – A quieter game by Palmer’s lofty standards, but a class act nonetheless. Would’ve scored had Madueke not blocked him on the line, but took it in good spirits.
Noni Madueke 6 – Energetic and always showing for his man. Was unfortunate to have a goal ruled out.
Joao Felix 8 – Still only 25, Felix feels like he has been around for an age. The wonderkid mantle has been sitting heavily on him for years, but the Portuguese playmaker is showing his undoubted class once more. Some of the best footwork on the field. His resurgence will spell bad news for Jadon Sancho.
Nicolas Jackson 8 – The man of the moment in the front line right now for Chelsea. Played with confidence, found space intelligently and continues to build upon an impressive streak of form. Took his goal with aplomb.
