The Beijing-based academic who has earned himself the nickname “The Chinese Nostradamus” thanks to his remarkably precise predictions of geopolitical events has set out a disturbing timeline for the next few years. Jiang Xueqin’s projection for the next “two to four years” culminates in a dramatic transformation in the world order that will include “the destruction of Europe”.
Professor Jiang employs a combination of meticulous historical analysis and game theory to forecast the outcomes of current world events with extraordinary precision. He has already witnessed two relatively recent predictions materialise with striking accuracy. In 2024, he correctly anticipated that Donald Trump would triumph in the election of that year.
He then predicted that if Trump did assume the presidency again, there “will be a very strong likelihood that the United States will go to war with Iran”. Both, as we now know, are entirely accurate.
And now, in a new lecture, he has made eight more alarming predictions amid the current conflict in Iran.
1. US will use ground troops
Professor Jiang forecasts that the US will be unable to avoid deploying ground troops in order to maintain control of Iran, which is a vast and mountainous territory four times the size of neighbouring Iraq.

That, Professor Jiang maintains, will lead to the kind of domestic unrest we witnessed over Vietnam in the 1960s, when thousands of young Americans refused to be drafted into what they regarded as an unjust war. “A lot of young people are going to refuse to fight in this war. And this is going to create protest,” Professor Jiang predicts.
“Then America will have no choice but to deploy the National Guard. And this will create the recipe for a lot of civil conflict in America.”
However, the repercussions from President Trump’s so-called “excursion” into the Middle East will extend far beyond that, he warns.
2. Destruction of the GCC
Professor Jiang claims the Gulf Cooperation Council [GCC] – an economic and military alliance uniting Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates in a largely US-friendly coalition – will be decimated.
“What’s happening in this war is that the economies of the GCC are being destroyed and that’s part of the plan,” he says.
Unverified reports from within the US military suggest that American troops engaged in the Iran conflict have been informed by their commanders that President Trump was “anointed by Jesus” to wage a holy war against Iran – with some even claiming this could trigger Armageddon and herald Christ’s return.
Professor Jiang maintains this fixation with the End of the World, known as eschatology, is widespread among the Evangelical Christians who have risen to prominence within the current US administration.

3. Turkey and Saudi Arabia will enter the war
This development, Jiang theorises, sets the stage for the next phase of the conflict. He elaborated: “The third thing we can expect is that Turkey and Saudi Arabia will enter the war… because you want to use this war to weaken opposition to these eschatologies.”
Participation in the war against Iran will inflict severe damage on Turkey, as well as the GCC nations, Jiang cautions.
Coupled with Turkey’s involvement in the Iranian conflict, this spells disaster for America’s former allies. “We can expect the destruction of Europe-the end of NATO basically,” Jiang warns.
4. The Al-Aqsa Mosque will be destroyed
One of Islam’s most sacred sites, the Al-Aqsa mosque is situated at the very heart of Jerusalem. Professor Jiang highlighted that this significant site has long been a point of contention between Israelis and Palestinians.
In April 2024, during a series of Iranian strikes against Israel, Iran’s then-supreme leader Ali Khamenei tweeted in Hebrew: “Al-Quds [an Arabic name for Jerusalem] will be in the hands of the Muslims.” With renewed tensions between Israel and Iran, Professor Jiang believes the mosque is likely to suffer extensive damage or be demolished.
5. The Rise of Persia
The professor further suggests that as Iran continues to battle against insurmountable odds, its leaders will re-embrace its ancient name of Persia.
That, once more, links to the eschatological interpretation of the situation – that this present conflict serves as a precursor to a broader war culminating with Persian and Russian forces combining to confront a joint Israeli force at Armageddon – now recognised as Tel Megiddo – in northern Israel.
6. Israel ascendant
Jiang believes that, as America’s economy is overtaken, certain multinational corporations will gravitate increasingly towards Israel: “Think of companies like Nvidia, Oracle, Microsoft, Google. They’ll probably transfer themselves to Israel because that is where the power will rest.”

7. Russian victory in Ukraine
With America entangled in Iran, and NATO fatally undermined due to internal disputes over the Strait of Hormuz, Jiang suggests that President Putin will exploit the mounting disorder to ultimately vanquish Ukraine.
8. Destruction of Europe
The final outcome of all these developments, Jiang says, is a Europe threatened by Russia on one flank and Iran – now controlling all or part of Turkey – on the other.
Against these two formidable adversaries – both possessing sophisticated drone and cyber-warfare capabilities – Europe is unlikely to endure.
He adds that it’s entirely plausible that Donald Trump could simply acknowledge his error and withdraw his forces from the region, seeking to reassure his MAGA base that the military venture accomplished its objectives. However, even that seemingly prudent move carries a concealed drawback, according to Jiang. He elaborated: “What happens is that Iran says to GCC, ‘Hey man, you attacked us. You destroyed our infrastructure. You destroyed our economy. You have to pay compensation.'”
Given Iran’s effective control of the Straits of Hormuz – the sole passage for around 20% of the world’s crude oil – it could levy a charge on the oil-producing nations in order to extract this “compensation.”

This would inflict a significant blow to the US economy. Professor Jiang added: “So all this money from the GCC, before it’s going to United States to fuel the US economy… it goes to Iran.”
The result, Jiang suggests, is a resurgent Iran that utilises its newfound wealth to industrialise and rebuild on an unprecedented scale, becoming the dominant superpower in the Middle East “in five to 10 years.”
The logical move for Israel’s leaders at that juncture, Jiang says, would be to broker some sort of peace agreement with the Iranians. Meanwhile, the US economy could suffer greatly. He added: “Because the entire US economy is based on the stock market, on finance, on AI, on investment from the GCC.”
This may leave Trump with an impossible decision: deploy ground troops to invade Iran and face a protracted and bloody war that will inevitably be a political catastrophe domestically, or withdraw from the region and endure almost certain economic collapse.
Whilst either outcome will instil fear in the hearts of more rational US lawmakers, the evangelical voices that increasingly influence Trump’s inner circle will view these disastrous results as a means to expedite the Second Coming of Jesus as prophesied in the Book of Revelation, Jiang asserts.
With Iran also under significant theological sway, the likelihood of a measured, diplomatic approach to this crisis appears slim. And if Jiang’s predictions hold true, the latter half of the 2020s could prove to be an extremely perilous period for the entire globe.
