Costeen Hatzi has fuelled speculation that she has split from Nick Kyrgios by sharing a cryptic post on social media. Rumours suggesting the couple had parted ways emerged over the weekend, with Hatzi and Kyrgios removing each other’s initials from their Instagram profiles. The influencer and cosmetics expert also returned from the United States without her tennis boyfriend in tow.
Hatzi now appears to have addressed the rumours by taking a potential swipe at Kyrgios. On TikTok, she captioned a post: “You don’t see your friend in a while and you have to update her on your chaotic life.” In the video, Hatzi is shown mouthing the words: “Who the f*** did I marry? So at this point in time, I have filed for divorce.”
The woman who originally said the phrase was Reesa Teesa, who went viral on TikTok with a lengthy series covering her marriage and eventual divorce. Hatzi’s video also featured her close friend Golda Mansour, an influencer from Sydney known for posting lifestyle content.
At one point during the clip, Mansour interjected with the phrase ‘bare minimum’ which could be interpreted as a thinly-veiled dig at Kyrgios. Hatzi, however, suggested the video may have been in jest by captioning it: “Spilling the tea. It’s a joke guys lol.”
She also responded to a comment from an anonymous fan, who asked: “Do you have a broken heart?” She replied with the word: “No,” alongside three red heart emojis.
Kyrgios, meanwhile, shared a mysterious post on Instagram in which he appeared to downplay the break-up rumours. On his story, he shared a picture of a sports car alongside the caption: “Fact of the day… don’t believe everything you read. Stay in your lane.”
The couple officially began dating in early 2022, shortly after Kyrgios messaged Hatzi on Instagram to ask about a mirror she was trying to sell. She had been spotted at various tournaments in support of the 29-year-old prior to the rumours of their split.
During an appearance on The Morning Show in 2023, Hatzi described their connection as ‘love at first sight’ in spite of her initial reservations about dating Kyrgios because of his hot-headed reputation.
She said: “I didn’t really follow tennis but I would hear media when they spoke, not badly about him, but his on-court behaviour, so I was a bit sceptical, but it was completely fine. He’s really supportive and I’m really lucky to have him.
“He messaged my business account asking if the mirror was available for pick-up and then messaged my personal [account] asking the same thing. It was a professional, friendly conversation and then he came to pick up the mirror from Sydney.
“I had no idea this was all a plan. I literally thought he was buying a mirror. He picked up the mirror and, as he would say, it was love at first sight.”
