With just month to December, we’re getting closer to Advent calendar season, but if you haven’t got yours yet there are plenty to choose from on the market. While chocolate is traditional, beauty advent calendars are becoming an increasingly popular way to count down to Christmas – and Debenhams has just released its most impressive one yet.
The Debenhams Beauty Advent Calendar is packed with 37 surprises, including 19 full-sized products from big-name beauty brands, reports the Manchester Evening News. Hidden behind its doors is everything from lipsticks to facemasks, from brands like MAC, Estée Lauder, Philip Kingsley, Vida Glow, and KIKO Milano, to name a few.
The calendar retails for £127.50 (currently 15% off from £150), but according to the retailer, the value of the products inside is a whopping £700. Each calendar also ncludes a ticket entry into a Mini Cooper draw, with secondary prizes like Debenhams vouchers and personalised beauty treatments.
It might not yet be time to open the calendar, but Debenhams shoppers can’t wait, with one saying: “Best advent on the market. Been buying for years and never disappointed.”
Another said: “Great products, amazing value, highly recommended.”
A third review said: “It’s the first time I’ve ordered this particular beauty calendar, but it arrived quickly. I’m not opening it until 1st December, but it looks well presented.”
As we are getting closer to the festive season, a lot of Advent calendars may start selling out this month so if you are on the market for one, it might be a good idea to secure it sooner rather than later, to avoid disappointment or shipping issues.
The calendar is skincare-heavy, with 15 products including moisturisers, serums, eye creams and treatments. There’s also a bath oil and moisturising body products for an extra touch of luxury.
Inside you can also find enough makeup products to create a glam festive look, including a travel-size setting spray. There’s even a full-sized OPI nail polish in a bright red that will be perfect for the holidays.
There are also some holy-grail styling products for those Christmas hairstyles, like Percy & Reed’s I Need a Hero Wonder Balm, which promises to maximise the efficacy of all your other products for glossy hair.
For fragrance enthusiasts, there’s a deluxe sized Lancome eau de parfum, but the highlight is a Laboratory Perfumes discovery set which normally costs £55 on its own.
