President Donald Trump is set to address the nation in an update on the US and Israel’s war on Iran in a televised address from the Whitehouse at 9pm ET on Wednesday, April 1.
The president will give the US public “an important update on Iran“. It is expected he will assure the nation the operation in Iran will wind down in the coming weeks.
According to reports Trump is expected to boast about his nations success. In a video shared by the White House at an Easter lunch earlier today he said: “And tonight I’m making a little speech at 9 and basically … I’m going to tell everybody how great I am.”
The lunch was closed to the media and the video has since been deleted but is still circling.
The announcement follows the US Central Command saying it has hit more than 12,300 targets in Iran a month into the war.
Prior to the speech, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a letter to Americans that the war is an “occupation and invasion” of his country before reiterating that Iran has no ill will towards the ordinary people of the US.
