Donald Trump sends chilling war threat to China’s Xi Jinping over Iran | World | News

US President Donald Trump has cautioned that China will face “big problems” should it decide to supply arms to Iran.

Trump addressed reporters on Saturday, April 11, concerning the “very deep negotiations” with Iran.

He issued a direct warning to President Xi, stating that China will encounter a “big problem” if it delivers air defence systems to Iran.

It is claimed that the country intends to send the new systems to Iran within the coming weeks.

When pressed on the issue, the US President declared: “If China does that, China is gonna have big problems, ok?”, reports the Mirror.

His remarks come as Pakistani officials host face-to-face discussions regarding the ceasefire agreement between America and Iran.

While the talks are taking place, Trump has spoken to media on the White House lawn.

He revealed that he is “getting a lot of reports: of the negotiations that have been going on for several hours.

Trump added: “Regardless what happens, we win.

“We’ve totally defeated that country.”

He reiterated that the US has eliminated Iran’s air force, navy and leadership, and is working to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the primary condition in the two-week ceasefire agreement.

He asserted that the US is working to reopen the crucial oil passage on behalf of other nations who are “afraid or weak or cheap”.

“We were not helped by Nato,” he told the media.

Referring to the discussions held in Pakistan, Trump said: “Let’s see what happens, but from my standpoint I don’t care.”
