As the New England Patriots get ready for Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks, quarterback Drake Maye is guiding the franchise to its first championship appearance since 2019. Alongside the 23-year-old standout, his wife Ann Michael Maye has emerged as a breakout star in her own right, attracting huge online buzz thanks to her viral baking clips, workout content and eye-catching game-day fashion.

Ann Michael, formerly Hudson, is a 22-year-old graduate of the University of North Carolina (UNC) who completed her business administration degree in May 2025. Football runs deep in her family – her father competed at Wofford College and her younger brother Tad served as a backup quarterback for the UNC Tar Heels in 2023 before transferring to Coastal Carolina in 2024. Their romance began early in life. Drake and Ann Michael met as kids and became middle school sweethearts, starting to date when they were just 12.

They went to the same high school and later made their relationship public on Instagram in 2020, sharing a New Year’s post from Drake. Both eventually enrolled at UNC, where they continued growing together.

After Drake was selected third overall by the Patriots in the 2024 draft, he popped the question to Ann Michael in January 2025 during a romantic proposal by the beach. The pair exchanged vows on June 21, 2025, at the Grandfather Golf and Country Club in Linville, North Carolina. Images from the ceremony, including a memorable shot of Drake and his groomsmen arranged in a football-style lineup, quickly spread across social media.

Ann Michael’s popularity surged following Drake’s NFL draft selection. She has gained more than 500,000 followers on TikTok through her “Bakemas” series, a festive baking show that went viral ahead of the holiday season. The success of that project led to her hosting “Beyond Bakemas” on NBC Sports Boston, where she combined her love for cooking with Patriots-themed flair.

Supporters often draw comparisons between her and NFL icon Tom Brady’s ex Gisele Bundchen in TikTok comments, something Ann Michael addressed playfully in a video alongside Dave Portnoy, saying: “Yeah, it’s always, ‘Gisele could never this, Gisele would never that,'” before adding, “I’m like, Gisele is pretty – she’s been pretty good, guys.”

Her commitment to fitness has also captured attention online. On Monday, Ann Michael launched Super Bowl week with an Instagram Stories post from a Pilates reformer class, showing off her sculpted abs in a grey workout outfit and captioning it “Happy Super Bowl week!!!” Pilates plays a central role in her training routine, helping her maintain the toned physique that fans frequently admire.

Style is another arena where Ann Michael stands out. During the postseason, she wore glittery trousers for the Wild Card round, a personalized Drake sweatshirt for the Divisional Round, and a custom Maye jacket during the AFC Championship. For Super Bowl week, she impressed followers with an all-denim ensemble shared on Instagram, earning her the nickname “WAG MVP” from fans.

Ann Michael has consistently supported Drake, attending the Patriots’ Super Bowl send-off rally on February 1 and cheering him on during their 10-7 AFC Championship victory over the Denver Broncos on January 25. After the draft, she wrote on Instagram: “Drake, words cannot describe how proud I am of you. What an incredible blessing it has been to be by your side through all of this. I love you and can’t wait for this next chapter! GO PATS!!”

The affection flows both ways. Drake has spoken openly about his admiration for his wife, summing her in three words during Super Bowl opening night: “She’s the boss.”

He added: “Getting married was one of the best decisions I made in my life… What a blessing it has been to have Ann Michael and know to come home to someone who cares about my day.

“She’s the boss but at the same time it’s been awesome to have her cook meals so I don’t have to worry about scrambling to find dinner when I come home late at night – she’s got it ready.”
