The modern-looking arena opened in 2009 and has enough seats to house 80,000 spectators. It is among the biggest World Cup venues and will host nine fixtures, the most out of all 16 grounds.
Fans attending England’s game against Croatia will need to pay a pretty penny for an alcoholic drink, though. A pint will cost the equivalent of £7.28, according to The Sun.
England’s second group match against Ghana will be played at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. It will be known as Boston Stadium during the World Cup and has enough room for just under 65,000 fans.
Pints are slightly cheaper there at £6.43 each, which is a relative bargain given the steep prices throughout the United States. However, the stadium does not have a roof, meaning fans will be desperate for the weather to stay dry.
Those attending England’s final group game against Panama, who they last faced in the World Cup eight years ago, will be forced to pay a lot more when it comes to buying a pint.
The match will be staged at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, which is usually home to the New York Giants and New York Jets in the NFL. During the World Cup, it will be known as New York New Jersey Stadium.
Fans wishing to buy a pint will have to pay almost £10 per drink at the stadium, which also lacks a roof despite a construction cost of nearly £1billion.
As always, England will be backed by thousands of fans at the World Cup and Tuchel knows the importance of giving them something to cheer about.
Speaking after Friday’s draw, he said: “Difficult group, difficult opener. Difficult group with Croatia and Ghana, two regulars in World Cups and two proud and strong nations.
“Panama, I don’t know much about Panama at the moment but we will find out about it before the tournament starts, of course.
“For me, I’ve only experienced group football in Champions League formats and the way to approach it was to always give it the biggest respect and to put all the focus into winning the group.
“It always seems difficult like our group now but we are confident and we will be well prepared when we arrive.”
