However, before her final engagement of the day – a wellbeing walk in the Peak District with a charity that offers mental health support through outdoor experiences – the princess decided to switch up her outfit and hairstyle. Rather than her more formal attire of suit trousers, a blazer and high heels, the princess changed into jeans, a warm winter coat and walking boots. She also transformed her hair from her signature wavy look into one plait, which rested over one shoulder.
The more casual hairstyle has been quick to send royal fans into a frenzy, with many praising the look on the future Queen.
One person wrote on X: “Obsessed with her hair in a plait.”
Someone else commented: “Wow love it.”
Another said: “That hair is absolutely stunning.”
Somebody else posted: “Catherine’s hair is absolutely glorious.”
Earlier on, the princess had carried out indoor engagements, which included a visit to Wakefield Trinity Rugby Ground where she learned about the club’s outreach programmes which bring generations together, tackle loneliness, and provide support for individuals experiencing isolation.
The future Queen also visited Family Action’s Children’s Trauma Therapy Service in Bradford to learn about how community, nature and creativity can help children struggling with trauma, isolation and mental health problems.
